9am - 10am (CST): Windows Server – Technical Drill down – Part 1

Microsoft is spending a huge amount of time and resources developing new features for Microsoft Azure around Software Defined Storage and Networking. With Windows Server 2019 those features are now becoming available for running on-premises!

The need for storage seems to never ends. Our users and businesses produce more and more documents, files and other kinds of data that must be stored, backed up, protected and now and then migrated to other places. You will in this demo intensive session learn how to utilize the new features in your own business to increase productivity, stability and decrease cost.

The Microsoft Management Console (MMC) is being phased out for newer tools that bring a new kind of monitoring to your environment, like Windows Admin Center, System Insight, and cloud attach. You will get to know the new tools, possibilities, features and understand what’s the right approach for your specific needs and environment. This session also contains important information for RDI (Remote Desktop Infrastructure) a very important part for customers looking new ways to deal with application deployment for clients, and yes, this session will also cover server OS Deployment.

Mikael Nystrom
Mikael Nystrom is a Microsoft MVP and Principal Technical Architect at TrueSec, with an extremely broad field of competence. He has worked with all kind of infrastructure tasks in all kind of environments, enterprise to small business. He is working deep within products such as Microsoft System Center, Windows and Windows Server. Mikael is a very popular instructor and is often used by Microsoft for partner trainings as well as to speak at major conferences such as TechEd, MMS and TechDays, etc.

Johan Arwidmark
Johan Arwidmark is the Chief Technology Officer with TrueSec, specializing in Systems Management and Enterprise Windows Deployment Solutions. Johan also speaks at several conferences each year, including MMS and Ignite events around the world. He is actively involved in deployment communities like deploymentresearch.com and has been awarded Microsoft Most Valuable Professional (MVP) for more than thirteen years. Nickolaj Andersen
Principal Consultant and Enterprise Mobility MVP since 2016. Nickolaj has been in the IT industry for the past 10 years specializing in Enterprise Mobility and Security, Windows devices and deployments including automation. Currently working for TrueSec as a Principal Consultant. Awarded as PowerShell Hero in 2015 by the community for his script and tools contributions. Author of ConfigMgr Prerequisites Tool, ConfigMgr OSD FrontEnd, ConfigMgr WebService to name a few. Frequent speaker at conferences and user groups.

Maurice Daly
Maurice is a Microsoft Enterprise Mobility MVP and Principal Consultant with TrueSec. His IT career began almost 20 years ago, spending time in both in-house roles and as a external consultant. His primary focus is Systems Center Configuration Manager, OS deployment, application management, Intune, Office 365 and automating tasks and processes through the use PowerShell.

Peter Lofgren
Peter works as a Senior Executive Consultant at TrueSec. As Part of the Truesec Infrastructure team he helps customers all over Europe and the US to build modern client platforms and datacenters based on Windows 10, System Center and Windows Server.
